Join Hooked on Driving for a fantastic weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th — including our Time Trial Event!
Join HOD for QUALITY track time! We offer the most track time with the smallest run groups.

🚦 Registration and Run Group Info
- This event is open to Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert Drivers — All drivers welcome!

- 💡 Early Registration: Register 45+ days before the event (by Sept 30th) for an additional $50 discount!
All Drivers Get:
- 5–6 hours of track time per weekend
- Complimentary coffee each morning
- Complimentary water throughout the day
- Slow-cooked BBQ dinner included Saturday night!
- All HOD National perks as well as Mid-Atlantic Partner perks from Spicy Cat Racing and Thunder Lane US
Novices Also Get:
- In-car instruction from our excellent coaching staff
- Professional classroom sessions
- After-session group debriefs / downloads with your coach
- ~2 hours of track time per day
⏱️ Time Trial (TT) Info
- Eligibility: At this time, Time Trials are open to C (Advanced) and D (Expert) groups only.
- Mandatory Endorsement: You must have a Time Trial Endorsement from HOD to participate (it is free). You cannot register for TT without an endorsement!
- Already registered for HPDE? If you registered for HPDE and want to add TT, complete the endorsement requirements at the link below, then email ryan.lohrman@hookedondriving.com to have it added to your registration.
- Format: Time Trial is a 2-day event. Single-day participation is permitted at the same rate, but trophy eligibility requires recorded times on both days.
- Max Clear Laps: TT sessions run with only 5 cars on track at once to give you clear air for your fastest lap.

⏱️ Schedule Info
- Track Time: Schedule will be announced closer to the event, but expect 5–6 hours of track time over the course of the weekend!
- Early Load-In: Access to the paddock and trailer drop-off will be available the evening before the event, starting Friday at 5:30pm. Keep an eye on the Live Schedule (emailed no later than 4 days prior to the event).
- Saturday Night BBQ: BBQ Dinner (with sides, soft drinks, and beer) will be served Saturday night at approximately 5:30 PM after the track goes cold!

🧑🏫 Coaches & Instructors
- Join the Coaching Team: In-car coaching spots are available with a $75/day deposit (fully refundable post-event upon completing coaching duties).
- If you have not coached with HOD before, please email your experience credentials to midatlantic@hookedondriving.com (experience will be verified).
- In-Car Communicators: In-car comms units are mandatory for instructors. You can purchase one with an HOD discount from Spicy Cat Racing here (sign up for your discount here) or rent one here.

🏁 Getting on Track: Requirements & Guidelines
👤 Driver Eligibility

Age Requirement: 18+ (ages 16–17 permitted with a signed parental waiver).

Valid US Driver's License
🛡️ Safety Gear & Attire
Helmets & Head/Neck Restraints

Helmets: Snell SA2020 or newer required.
-
Not permitted: Snell SA2015 (or older), M-rated (motorcycle), or DOT-only helmets.

Convertibles: Closed-face helmets with the visor down are mandatory.

HANS Devices: A certified head and neck restraint (SFI 38.1 or FIA 8858+) is mandatory for all occupants of any car equipped with an aftermarket harness and roll bar/cage system.

Rentals & Purchases: Helmets and HANS devices are available for rent in a variety of sizes (add during registration). To purchase a helmet, visit our preferred partner, Spicy Cat Racing.
Driver Attire

Street Cars (Full Interior): Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and short or long-sleeve shirts, ideally made out of natural fibers (e.g., cotton/linen are good; avoid polyester)

Race Cars (Gutted Interior): FIA or SFI-rated race suit, driving shoes, and gloves are strongly recommended by HOD and required by some race track facilities - if in doubt, reach out!
🚗 Vehicle Readiness & Identification

Mandatory Tech Inspection: Tech Sheet - Download, print, fill out ahead of time, and then bring the completed form to check-in.
Note: Refunds or credits will not be issued for loss of track time arising from a vehicle or equipment that is unprepared, unsafe, or mechanically deficient.

Car Numbers: Mandatory at all tracks on both sides of the car (minimum 6" tall, clearly visible to corner workers: not the same color as your car).

HOD standard numbers are available with online registration or at the track ($15).

Track Damage Liability: Participants are liable for any damages caused to the track and facilities. Repair costs will be charged to the credit card on file after the event.

Damage Waiver: An optional $1,000 Track Damage Waiver is available for $99/day during registration (covers the first $1,000 of damage).

Single-Event: Covers up to 4 consecutive days.

Annual Membership: Unlimited track days, plus eligibility for additional cars and drivers.

🏕️ Track & Paddock Amenities

Paddock Space & Camping: Free parking for personal tents, canopies, and trailers.

Car and tent camping is available free of charge. RV/trailer spots and electrical hookups can be purchased directly from CMP.

Paddock access and trailer drop-offs are allowed the night before the event, check the live schedule for time.

All vehicles must vacate the facility by 6:00 PM on the last day of the event.

Note: Hooked On Driving is not responsible for lost or damaged property.

Food & Fuel: Concessions and on-site fuel pumps are available at Carolina Motorsports Park.

Saturday Social BBQ: Held in the paddock after the track goes cold Saturday night! BBQ, sides, soft drinks, and beer provided by HOD Mid-Atlantic.
